The long-awaited premiere of Cincinnati-made “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” was a star-studded event Monday night on the famed Cannes red carpet (did you know they change the carpet six times a day during the film festival?).
As the Cannes Film Festival begins its second week of movie premieres and showings, it also is celebrating its 70th anniversary. At the same time, it’s also a milestone year for Film Cincinnati, marking 30 years in the movie business.
Representatives of Film Cincinnati, including Kristen Schlotman, executive director, will be leaving Wednesday for the Cannes Film Festival in support of Cincinnati-made movies, including The Killing of a Sacred Deer, shot in the Cincinnati area last year.
D. Lynn Meyers Casting is holding an open call for extras for the movie "The Old Man and The Gun" to be filmed in Cincinnati and starring Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek and Danny Glover. The open call will be held on Thursday, March 9, 4 pm to 8pm
