A LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Film Cincinnati Community;

The theme of last week's newsletter was maintaining resiliency until the light at the end of the tunnel comes into view.

Since then, Film Cincinnati has raised thousands of dollars in merchandise sales to help crew through this tough time. As an organization, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing support that is lifting up the production community.

Film Cincinnati has also been actively in discussion with productions that are eager to get boots on the ground once given the green light. In return, the organization has been talking to physicians, production companies, and government officials to define what a safe work environment looks like and acting as a leader in shaping the production world of the future.

Finally, thank you to the 60-plus people who registered to sign up for our Zoom roundtable discussion with labor and employment attorney Abby Chermely last week and the 70-plus registrants who hopped on our virtual happy hour last night. These moments of communities coming together for help, emotional support, laughs, and think tank discussions are the bouts of hope we need in these tough times- neighbors helping neighbors at its finest.

We will continue to find ways to come together, be leaders in safely shaping the world in the post-pandemic era. As always, we appreciate your solidarity, support, and solutions. Better days are ahead.

Stay united, safely,

Kristen Schlotman, Executive Director of Film Cincinnati
