Attention Filmmakers: Distribution Workshop

On Saturday, October 3rd, Rivercoast Films owner and film veteran Michael Katchman will be holding a special distribution workshop in the Cincinnati area with hopes of getting a fresh selection of local films. Katchman’s career as a studio executive includes MGM, Orion, Lionsgate, and First Look. The workshop will focus on the frequently misunderstood distribution side of filmmaking, including the latest trends in the marketplace and how to make your project more appealing to distributors. Katchman will also be providing case studies of successful low budget films as well as some failures. In addition, local filmmakers will have an opportunity to get their short, feature, or documentary in front of a distributor who is hungry for new product and specializes in low-budget releases. Whether you have an idea, pitch, script or completed project, make sure you are there for this one time event!
