Job Duties:

Plans, develops & organizes all activities of Ohio Film Bureau:  develops & implements strategies to attract films to Ohio; coordinates filming in Ohio with local entities both public & private; conceives, plans & executes marketing of Ohio as film location; services needs of film/TV producers; responds to requests for information (e.g., photos of locations); arranges meetings with government officials, location owners, unions, etc. to assist film makers in decision making; researches locations for potential shooting; acts as liaison between production company & local community; supervises Film Bureau staff; represents office at industry-related trade shows; staffs & manages Ohio Film Bureau Advisory Council; oversees & maintains film production & investment research & data.

Oversees creation, production & maintenance of key marketing & communication tools for Film Bureau (e.g., website, marketing materials).


Position Specific Qualifications (a test may be given to determine qualifications):


1.    Minimum 5 years experience in the film industry & on film recruitment/marketing.

2.    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Film Production or relevant course of study.

3.    Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills.

4.    PC proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).

5.    Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
