Receives 2 Emmy Nominations!
David Garrison Productions’ all volunteer motion picture BEOWULF: PRINCE OF THE GEATS has earned 2 regional Emmy Award nominations according to the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The nominations were announce Monday June 1st. The nominations were for Arts and Entertainment Program (Greer Scott, Angela Reasch, Scott Wegener), and Editing (Scott Wegener).
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in July.
BEOWULF: PRINCE OF THE GEATS was made by 500 volunteers working in six states, the Gulf of Mexico and Norway with literally no budget. BPOG stars Jayshan Jackson, Damon Lynch III, and Bob Elkins. It was directed by 4 time Emmy Award winning filmmaker Scott Wegener. All of the profits from the film go to the American and Norwegian Cancer Societies. The production was based in Blue Ash, Ohio, and showcased dozens of tri-state actors, including Aaron Elsaesser, Angela Reasch, Greer Scott, Joshua Marcus, and SCPA graduate Kevin Macku.
There will be a public screening Saturday, June 13th, 7pm at the Sharonville Fine Arts Center (formerly the Act One Theater), 11165 reading Road, Sharonville, OH.
